Updated October 19, 2026 · referral service, not a contractor

Dearborn Basement Waterproofing (dearbornbasementwaterproofing.com) is a small, independent referral site for homeowners in Dearborn, Michigan who have a wet basement, a leaking foundation or a failing sump pump. It is run by Andrew Olemgbe, who lives in Detroit.

Who runs it

Andrew Olemgbe is a Detroit resident and a career technology sales professional, not a contractor. He built this site because finding a straight answer about basement water in older metro Detroit homes is harder than it should be: most pages are either national chains or lead-generation sites that sell your number to five companies at once.

How it works

• You describe the problem in the form.
• We pass the request to one independent waterproofing contractor who serves Dearborn. Not five. One.
• The contractor contacts you and gives a free estimate. You decide; there is no obligation.
• The contractor may pay us a referral fee. You never pay us anything, and the fee does not change your price.

What we promise

• We say plainly on every page that we are a referral service, not a contractor, and we hold no contractor license.
• No fake reviews. Any testimonial you ever see here will be from a real homeowner who agreed to be quoted.
• No fake office. We have no storefront in Dearborn; the contractor comes to your home.
• Local facts on the Dearborn page are sourced (Census, USDA soil survey, National Weather Service, FEMA, city permit pages) and dated so you can check them.
• We recommend you verify any contractor's license at michigan.gov/lara before signing.
